BJJ class atb 6. John has been working the arm drags this week. It's a good technique and a bit underutilized by our club in general. He has a nice trick when he cross grips the sleeve he blocks the trapped arm from regripping with his forearm. I like this and will work on it as well as keep an eye out for people doing it as it makes for a more difficult techniques to defend.
Judo - Post tournament class - did some movement drills for staying light on the feet and advancing with your hips rather than with your hands to cut off the mat and get into your grips. trying to minimize the frankenstein plodding and chasing while over reaching with the grips.
Randori - I have been hitting the soto makimomi but i still hate settling for it and consider it a poor substitute for the Harai.
Ne Waza - continued working on the Juji Gatame turnover. - Emphasizd the Adams version of the turn and capturing the head with the leg tp prevent uke from coing up.
