BJJ open training at the Weston - 7 of us (Steve B, Me, Chris, Blue John, Marty, Craig and Jack) We did 6 - 5 minutes sets. I pulled against Steve and ended in Eric's cross spider position, but couldn't find the offense from the position. Need to look at it a little more to see what I can do from there. I switched to a more traditional open guard and hit a flip sweep and came up. I think I surprised him by going for it. Later he went for a desperation armlock and gave up another sweep. Overall, The training was good, but I need to push harder. I think I should put myself in worse positions to start the sets. My competitiveness is making me waste opportunities.
