Missed Kbells. They were prepping for some F'ing Deniro movie replacing all of the signage etc to make the street look like Manhattan an as a result everything was blocked or bound up. So I was late.

Taught BJJ - 6 people in class despite the 8 people away at PanAms and the crosstrainers who fought in Judo who took the night off, so not too bad. Also had a new prospect who seemed interested and Dave's niece Linda did the class.

I covered the half butterfly hook sweep, freeing the leg when it's trapped and re-engaging for the sweep and coming up via the shin roll to sweep them backwards if the pull away. They got the technique and trained well so it was a good class.

Judo was good albeit a little small in the post tournament malaise. Art will give the Sato disappointing his instructor speech on Thursday for those who haven't heard it. We did Sasai Tsurikomi Ashi and Kouchi Gari then gave time for tokui waza.#-4 sets of randori.

For Ne Waza we worked on triangles. Mike the new white belt started to develop his and I think has  a very promising future in general and with this technique in particular. His body is a natural for it. Christine did a very good job coaching through it. Ne Waza was fine. One of the guys played a little heavier than i would have liked with Ariana. I took him next and played hard with him, tapping him repeatedly and generally roughing him up. To His credit he recognized that something was different and inquired. Most of the times I have had to put it on someone like this they just take it and don't try to learn from it. I just told him to back it off a little in the future with the light girls. He understood and processed the information well. His understanding made me have even higher hopes for him.
